YOUNG INVESTIGATOR AWARD

GISM will assign three “young Investigator Awards” of 500 Euro each. In order to be eligible the first author of a paper must be younger than 35 on October 20th 2022. The winner will receive the award during the Award Ceremony. As collection on behalf of the designated winner is not allowed, fai- lure to collect the award in person will result in disqualification from the competition. To take part in the contest, please put the Young Investigator Award acronym within brackets (YIA) before the first word of your abstract title.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

September 15th, 2022

By submitting your research abstract you accept that your work will be shared either as a speech or as a poster. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to choose the abstract format (oral or poster). The Abstracts will be eva- luated and scored by a panel of Referees (selected by the Scientific Committee) based on their novelty and significance.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Abstracts must adequately describe the objectives and results. Originality, study quality and completeness of the work will be evaluated.

  • Language: English.
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 points font size, single spaced, justified text.
  • Characters Limit: The abstract must not exceed 2500 characters, including spaces. This applies to the main body of the abstract only. Title and authors are excluded. References should not be included in the abstract. Use of standard abbreviations is preferred.
  • Author/s names and surnames should be formatted in regular style: E.g.: Mario Rossi, Carla Bianchi, ...Affiliation (Regular style): E.g. University of...., Laboratory of ....,
  • Text: The abstract should be divided into 4 paragraphs:
    • OBJECTIVE: primary purpose/s of study.
    • MATERIALS AND METHODS: description of data sources, subjects, design measurements and data analysis.
    • RESULTS: summary of the main findings.
    • CONCLUSIONS: Study conclusion and/or implication of the results.
  • Abbreviations in the title will not be accepted. If used throughout the text, abbreviations must be indicated in their extended version the first time they are used. Please do not include images, tables or attachments.
  • File saving: save the abstract in a Word format with the following name: first name surname of the first author (e.g. mario_rossi doc).
